as I understand it, they can play lossless audio while the Sansas can't. Expandability (and easily replaceable batteries, like on a mobile phone or digital camera) should be standard by this stage of the game, so it's a wonder to me how so much embedded flash and batteryness gets accepted by the masses, only to 'announce' new capacities like this...
